Small Water Catcher

Cheap rain water for a fresh base: a Level 1 bench, one tarp and a little metal. Enough to drink from and water a planter, not to run a whole farm.

Overview

In-game description
Collects drinkable water from the air via rain and dew. Can be connected to other entities to provide water, 20ml a second.

Put one on the roof the day you build on the coast, where the only water in sight is salty. It gathers rain and dew by itself, and you can drink from it or fill a bottle without leaving the base or walking inland to a river.

It is the cheapest water you can build. A Level 1 workbench and a single tarp are all it asks beyond some wood and metal, and research costs only 15 scrap. So it fits the first hours of a wipe, when the tarp is the one part you might have to go looking for.

Run a hose from it to a small planter box and the planter waters itself while you roam. It holds and collects less than the big one, though, and a whole row of planters will drain it.

Once the farm grows, move up to the large water catcher. It needs a Level 2 bench, four times the metal and two tarps, and it holds far more. Plenty of bases keep the small ones on the roof anyway, because they are cheap and losing one does not hurt.
