Overview
A Large Rechargeable Battery. Must have a minimum charge of 5 seconds to discharge. Can be wired in series. Charging rate is dependant on power in, with a maximum of 80% efficiency.
Run your defences on solar and they go to sleep with the sun. This is the battery that keeps them awake. A large solar panel charges it through the day, and after dark it feeds an auto turret or the SAM Site on your roof until morning.
| Battery | Bench | Research | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small | Level 1 | 15 scrap | a solo's lights |
| Medium | Level 2 | 30 scrap | lights and a turret |
| Large | Level 2 | 30 scrap | several turrets, a SAM Site |
Look at the last two rows. Bench and research cost are identical, only the materials double: ten high quality metal and two tech trash instead of five and one. So once your group has a Level 2 bench, the medium only earns its place when tech trash is really tight.
It fills slowly, though, and a fifth of what goes in never comes back out. One panel on a big battery may not top it up before dark. Add panels, or a generator for the evening, before you add more turrets.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
