Overview
Attach to a storage container to allow industrial input/output connections.
A box on its own is a dead end for pipes. Snap this onto it and the box gets an input and an output that the pipe tool can reach, which is all an industrial conveyor needs to start pulling items out or pushing them in.
The adaptor itself moves nothing. It is a socket, and the conveyor behind it decides what travels. So the usual first build is short: an adaptor on the ore box, a pipe to a conveyor, a pipe from the conveyor on to the furnaces. Then a second adaptor on the large wood box that catches the metal coming back.
Watch out
Anything piped is reachable. Put an adaptor on the wrong box, leave the conveyor without filters, and it will happily carry your component stash somewhere you never meant it to go. Check which box you snapped it to before you switch the power on.
It costs a hundred metal fragments at a Level 1 bench and 15 scrap to research. The other industrial parts sit next to it among the electrical parts, but this is the one you will need the most of.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
