Overview
A smart electric switch.
You are three grids away at a monument and a teammate types in chat that someone is circling the compound. With one of these between the battery and the outside turrets, you turn them on from your phone and keep looting. That is the whole point: a plain switch you do not have to stand next to.
The game's own text says only that it is a smart switch. What makes it smart, going by how players use it, is pairing with the Rust+ companion app: you pair it at the switch itself, and from then on it shows up on your phone as a toggle. Wiring is the same as for the plain one, power in, consumer out.
Each one costs three high quality metal and a piece of tech trash, the same part C4 and turret computers eat. So most groups own two or three, not ten. Good spots: the line to the auto turrets, the outside lights, and the farm lamps somebody always leaves on.
Add a smart alarm and the phone also tells you when to reach for it.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
