Overview
A device that converts salt water to fresh water while powered.
Swap the campfire for a power line and the sea becomes a tap that runs by itself. Salt water goes in one side, and while power reaches the purifier, fresh water comes out the other.
The old water purifier works over a fire and has to be filled by hand. That is fine for drinking and hopeless for a farm. This one sits in a line instead. A water pump in the sea pushes salt water into it through a hose, a second hose carries clean water on to a water barrel or your planters, and the wire tool brings power in from your generator or batteries.
Look at the recipe too. Cloth, wood and 300 frags at a Level 2 bench, with no propane tank anywhere in it, so the purifier is cheap and the power behind it is the real cost. It stacks to three, so one craft session covers a couple of lines.
A base on a river or lake may not need it at all, because a pump in fresh water skips the cleaning step. On the coast, where the ocean is the only water for a long way, it is what lets the farm grow past a few planters.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
