Overview
A simple switch that enables fluid to pass through. Can be switched on/off manually or via electricity. Can also pump water upwards to higher entities when powered.
Two jobs live in one box. Unpowered, it is a tap: water passes when it is open, stops when it is closed, and you flip it by hand. Give it electricity and it does the thing nothing else in the water chain can, which is push water up to something placed higher than the source.
That second job is why most people craft it. Say your large water catchers stand in the yard and the large planter boxes sit on the second floor, where they are easier to defend. Hoses alone will not lift the water up there. Put this between them and power it.
- Run a hose from the catcher or barrel into its input.
- Run power to it with the wire tool.
- Run a hose from its output up to the planters or to a barrel on the upper floor.
Because power also switches it, you can control the flow from anywhere. Wire a smart switch in front of it and you shut the farm's water off from your phone. It costs 150 metal fragments at a Level 1 bench.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
