Overview
This object prevents passthrough while power is received through its second input.
An off switch that another wire flips: that is the whole idea. Power going into its main input passes straight through, until something feeds its second input. While that second input has power, nothing gets past.
That makes it an inverter, and the classic use is lights that know when it is night. A large solar panel only produces while the sun is up, so it makes a perfect daylight signal.
- Wire your battery, say a small rechargeable battery, into the blocker's main input with the wire tool.
- Run the blocker's output to your ceiling lights.
- Feed the blocker's second input from a solar panel: a spare one, or one output of a splitter on your main panel.
- By day the panel holds the block and the lights stay off. At sunset it goes quiet, the block lifts and the lights come on by themselves.
The same trick mutes anything on a signal: a siren while a switch inside is on, a door controller while you are home. It costs metal fragments at a Level 1 bench, so keep a couple in the electrics box.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
