Overview
Extremely strong door with a hatch to see and shoot out of.
Hang this on the doors raiders have to get through to reach your loot and the TC. Once your group has a Level 3 workbench, it is the top of the door ladder: a wooden door falls to fire and satchels, a sheet metal door to a modest pile of explosives, and the armoured one pushes the raid into C4 and rocket territory.
Pros
Cons
- The toughest single door: every one on the path costs raiders real sulfur
- A hatch you open to look out and shoot through
- Each eats 20 high quality metal and five gears, HQM a facemask or rifle also wants
- Locked behind the Level 3 bench, so it shows up mid-wipe at best
- The hatch works both ways: left open, it is a hole they shoot in through
The usual mistake is armouring the front door and stopping there. Raiders do not take your door, they take whatever is cheapest. A stone wall next to it holds about as long, and a sheet metal wall holds longer than the door itself. So trace the path to the TC and armour its doors, starting with the last one.
Mid-wipe with HQM for three doors in the box? They go on the loot room and the TC airlock, not on the entrance the whole server walks past.
