Overview
A wooden barricade with barbed wire, made of Wood and Metal Fragments. The barbed wire causes damage and will also slow player movement.
Line it across the route someone has to take at a run. The barbed wire hurts and slows anyone who pushes into it, the game says, and that turns the patch of dirt in front of your door into somewhere nobody sprints through twice.
It sits in the middle of the three spiked barricades, and these rows decide between them:
| Barricade | Bench | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Wooden Barricade | none | 300 wood, 1 rope |
| Barbed Wooden Barricade | Level 1 | 300 wood, 50 frags, 1 rope |
| Metal Barricade | Level 2 | 200 frags, 2 metal blades |
So the wire costs only fifty frags more than the plain version, plus the Level 1 workbench and 30 scrap to learn it. The rope is what people run short of, since satchels, sewing kits and ladders want it too.
Picture a door camper hugging your wall after you killed his friend. Two of these in the gap between that wall and your door, and he either takes a beating to rush you or gives up the angle. It is still wood, though, and someone with a hatchet and patience will get through.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
