Characteristics
Overview
A wooden barricade. Will hurt players and animals that run into it.
Run a wolf into it. The game says this barricade hurts players and animals that run into it, and on a fresh wipe the second half matters as much as the first. You are walking home with a backpack of wood, a wolf has picked you up, and two of these stand in front of your door. You sprint past them and the animal takes the hit.
It costs 300 wood and one rope, no workbench, 15 scrap to research. So it is within reach before you own anything better than a stone hatchet. If something runs short it will be the rope; the wood comes quickly.
Tip
Once you have a Level 1 bench, the barbed wooden barricade also slows people and costs only fifty frags more. Keep the plain ones for animal paths and spots you can afford to lose.
It is still wood, though. Anyone with a hatchet can chop through it if nobody is shooting at them, so a barricade you do not watch only buys you a little time.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
