Overview
Static shutter that forms a metal horizontal embrasure over your window frame.
Fit it on a window you actually plan to fight from. The plate closes the frame so nobody can hop through, and the wide horizontal slit leaves you enough room to track a target moving left and right across the ground in front of the base.
Picture a window on your second floor that faces the path roamers take to your door. Left open, it is an invitation: anyone can spray in or climb through while you are busy at the furnace. With this embrasure on it, the same window becomes a firing post. You spot the guy at the treeline, follow him as he runs along the wall, and he has a thin slot to aim back at.
For early game the price is real: a Level 2 workbench and 100 metal fragments each, four times what metal window bars take. So bars go on the windows you only want sealed, and the embrasure on the few you shoot from.
Tip
The slit is wider than it is tall. If the window looks down at your own walls rather than out over a field, the vertical embrasure fits that job better.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
