Overview
Placing and authorising with the cupboard will make it so only you can build in a 50 meter radius of it. If you want your friends to build, they'll need to auth too. You should protect this.
Whoever is authorised on this cupboard owns the ground around it. Hold E on it and pick Authorize, and from then on only people on its list can build, place deployables or swing a hammer to upgrade nearby. Everyone else is building blocked, and when someone leaves the group you clear the list.
It is also your bill. Whatever sits inside pays upkeep for the building it protects: wood for wooden pieces, stones for stone, frags for sheet metal, HQM for armoured. While the stash lasts, nothing decays. Let it run dry over a long weekend and your walls lose health one by one. Its window shows how long the stock will hold, so check it before you log off.
So raiders dig for it. Whoever gets there breaks it and drops his own, and the building rights in your base are his: he walls off your corridors while you cannot place a single wall in your own compound. Even if they just break it and leave, the base stops paying upkeep and rots. That is why the TC sits behind the most doors, and why every raid plan counts the C4 to reach it.
Watch out
A cupboard without a code lock belongs to whoever walks in: one auth and the base is his. Lock it the minute it stands.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
