Overview

In-game description
A high wooden watchtower with a ladder

Height is what you are buying. Climb its ladder and you look over the trees and rocks that hide a roamer walking up to your farm, your quarry or the road past your base. For 250 wood at a Level 1 workbench it is about the cheapest high ground you can put on the map.

A typical use: your group farms a big patch of land away from the base, and one person sits up top with binoculars calling out anyone coming in. With a bolt action rifle the same spot turns into a sniper perch over a road or a contested resource field.

But it works both ways. Up there you are a silhouette against the sky, with one way down and next to nothing to hide behind, and the tower itself is only wood. So use it to watch, not to hold. If a group with guns is heading your way, climb down early.
