Characteristics
Overview
A slow but effective boat sail, made from scraps of fabric hastily stitched together. More sails will generate more speed.
Fit one when the hull has to move and nobody in the group has fuel to spare. A sail burns nothing, so the boat you laid out at the boat building station can leave the coast on day one, as long as someone found a tarp. Its own description is honest about the speed: slow, though each extra sail adds a bit more.
Pros
Cons
- No fuel, so an empty tank never strands you at sea
- A Level 1 bench and 150 wood besides the tarp
- Stacks up: two or three sails beat one
- Slow, and a boat with an engine catches you
- Each one eats a tarp that planters and water catchers also want
- Recycling it gives the tarp back only some of the time
Picture a duo with a coastal base and an island crate run in mind. No gears yet, no Level 2 bench, but a tarp from a road barrel. One sail gets you out and back without touching your low grade fuel. Once the group can afford a small boat engine, the sail stays on as the slow backup for the day the tank runs dry.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
