Overview
Emits a beautiful shower of red sparks
Light one when the base is finally done. Say the last stone wall went up after a long evening of farming and the group is standing in the courtyard: set a red volcano down in the middle, light it, and red sparks pour out of the ground for everyone around it.
The price sits in the middle. Fifteen gun powder and 20 metal fragments, half the powder of a red boomer and no fuel at all. Only owners can craft it: its blueprint is tied to owning the item on Steam. And powder is still powder, so make them on a day when the box is full, not the evening before your raid.
Since the sparks stay low, it feels like a party at your place rather than a flare for the whole server. Cheaper still is a red Roman candle, which skips powder entirely.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
Recycling
At power grid stage 2 a green recycler works at 60% instead of 50%. Yields depend on the recycler.
