Characteristics
Overview
Produces fertilizer from compostable items.
Feed it what your farm throws away and it hands back fertilizer. That is the whole job. Dung from a horse, plant fiber from crops that died and other compostable leftovers go in, and fertilizer comes out to raise the ground condition in your planters.
It costs little. There is no workbench, nothing to research since every player has the recipe from the start, and it takes the same two tarps and 200 wood as a large planter box. The tarps are the only snag on a fresh wipe: nobody can craft them, so they come from loot or the recycler.
Picture a roof farm of hemp and corn where the water ran out overnight. Half the plants are dead by morning. Their fiber goes straight into the composter beside the planters instead of clogging your inventory, and the replant starts on better ground.
A solo with one planter can skip it. For a group that grows its own cloth and food, it turns rubbish into the next harvest.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.

At power grid stage 2 a green recycler works at 60% instead of 50%. Yields depend on the recycler.
