Overview
A heavy mountable cannon for your boat with a short fuse. Questionable accuracy but high damage.
You mount it on a boat you built at a boat building station, and a trip out to sea turns into a fight you can win. The game sums it up honestly: high damage, questionable accuracy, a short fuse. So it rewards patience at close range and wastes ammo at long range.
Pros
Cons
- A Level 1 bench, two hundred metal fragments and a hundred wood, nothing rare
- Researchable for fifteen scrap, so the whole group can build it all wipe
- Hits hard enough to make another crew think twice
- Spread you have to live with, and the fuse adds a delay to every shot
- Every shot is a cannonball, and each one eats fifteen gunpowder
- Made for a boat, by its own text, so it waits until you have one
The usual fight: two boats circling in a bay, both crews trying to land a broadside. Close the distance, fire when the other boat slows to turn, and keep one person reloading while another steers. Shots at a moving target from far away mostly feed the fish.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
