Characteristics
Overview
A small camp fire. Provides warmth and light, and you can cook with it.
On the first night of a wipe it does three jobs at once: it cooks, it warms you and it lights the hut. A hundred wood and no bench, so it goes down right after the sleeping bag.
Cooking is the reason to build it. A fresh spawn kills a deer with a rock and a spear, and the raw deer meat hurts if you eat it as it is; its own text says to cook it first. Drop the meat and some wood in, light it, and come back for food that heals instead. Leave it in too long and it burns, so take it out once it is done.
Watch out
A lit fire at night can be seen from far off. Light it inside walls, or put it out once dinner is done, or a roamer follows the glow straight to your door.
Burning wood also leaves charcoal in the slots, a small start on gunpowder. Later the fire keeps a job: set a water purifier over it on a coastal base and it turns sea water drinkable. For cooking in bulk, though, a barbeque holds more at once.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
