Characteristics
Overview
Pull up a stool and have a drink. A decorative item which provides comfort while seated.
Somewhere to sit at a counter, and comfort while you do. By the game's own description that is the whole item, and it makes the most sense in a base with a bar, a kitchen corner or a shop window you spend whole evenings behind.
Look closely and the metal is mostly in the name. The row asks for the same metal fragments and wood at a Level 1 workbench as the wooden bar stool, and for a good reason: both are skins of the plain chair. You craft the chair, researched for its 15 scrap, and pick the stool look if you own that skin. So you are choosing a look, not a better seat.
Picture a trader on a quiet server with a counter by the gate: stools on the customers' side, a table with the stock behind it. Customers wait, the trader sits. Keep the stool out of a window's line of sight, though, because a seated player does not dodge.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
