Characteristics
Overview
Every home needs a chair. A decorative item which provides comfort while seated.
You sit in it. That is the whole job, and for a base you spend real hours in, it is a fair one: the game says a chair gives comfort while you are seated, and comfort helps you heal. It is the spot to park your character while you sort loot or wait for a teammate to log in.
The price is small. Some metal fragments and wood at a Level 1 workbench, and research takes only 15 scrap, so learn it once and every base you build that wipe gets a seat.
It has rivals. A sofa seats two and swaps the metal for cloth, which suits a duo sharing a living room. The rocking chair needs nothing but wood, though you cannot research it. None of them changes how a raid goes.
One habit worth keeping: do not put it where a window looks in. A player parked in a chair is an easy shot for anyone passing outside.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
