Characteristics
Overview
A heavy anchor to stop your boat drifting.
You drop the anchor so your boat is still there when you get back. Stop over a dive spot, go down with a diving tank, surface a while later and the hull is a long swim away: it happens once, and then everyone crafts an anchor.
It belongs to the boats players build themselves. You lay out the hull with the Boat Building Plan at a Boat Building Station, bolt on a small boat engine or two to make it move, and place the anchor on deck to make it stay. It takes 250 wood at a Level 1 bench and 15 scrap to research, so no hull should leave port without one.
Tip
Drop it before you walk off to loot a coastal monument, not when you notice the boat moving. Nobody at the helm means nobody stops the drift, and every box on deck drifts with it.
Pull it up again before you open the throttle, or you will spend a while wondering why the engines sound busy and the boat goes nowhere.
