Characteristics
Overview
Keep your things in this wooden barrel. Stores up to 48 items. Cannot be locked.
Stand it in the corner a box leaves empty. Upright, it takes only a small round patch of floor, so a loot room already lined with boxes along the walls still has space for one in each corner and beside the doorframe.
Inside it is the same as its lying twin, the horizontal storage barrel: 48 items by its own text, no lock, no bench, no research. You pay 75 metal fragments and 300 wood for it, more than a large wood box costs for the same room. So it is not a budget pick. It is a layout pick.
Here is where it works. Your group runs a big farm, and every run ends with someone dumping cloth, seeds and fertilizer wherever there is space. Two barrels in the corners of the farm room give that junk a home, and a raider who gets that far has better things to grab than hemp.
The vertical industrial barrel and the Krieg and Abyss versions share its recipe, so choosing between them comes down to paint.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
Recycling
At power grid stage 2 a green recycler works at 60% instead of 50%. Yields depend on the recycler.
