Overview

In-game description
A decorative rug that can be placed on walls, floors, and ceilings. Provides comfort when in close proximity.

Lay it down where the base looks bare. The game lets you put it on floors, walls and ceilings and says it gives comfort when you are close, so its real place is wherever you already stand around: by the furnaces, the workbench, the boxes you sort.

It is a cheap way to get that comfort. Twenty-five cloth, no bench, and research costs 15 scrap, pocket change by the time anyone thinks about decor. The Bear Skin Rug carries the same game text and swaps the cloth for leather, and a sofa gives comfort too while seating two.

The ones who get the most out of it are a duo on a monthly server who spend their evenings at home sorting loot. A solo who logs in, farms and logs out will barely notice it. It adds nothing to a raid defence, so doors and the TC come first.
