Characteristics
Overview
A Mailbox that accepts notes. Only you can access the mail due to a one way slit.
Set it by your front door if you want the neighbours to be able to talk to you without shouting through a wall. Anyone can push a note through the slit, and only you can take the mail out. Items do not go in, just notes.
A typical case: the group two grids over wants to trade, or wants to know whether you will join them against the clan on the hill. They write it on a note, drop it in and move on. You read it the next time you log on, with no voice chat and nobody standing at your door.
It costs 100 wood and 25 metal fragments, with no bench. For handing over ore, scrap or a payment it is the wrong box: a drop box set in the wall takes items from outside, and only the inside can take them out. Plenty of players never build a mail box at all, and they lose very little.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
