Overview

In-game description
This item can be deployed on walls so that players can input items from the exterior of the building for safe keeping. You can only access the submitted contents of the Drop Box from the rear.

Teammates, buyers and neighbours can leave things in it without ever coming through your door. The box sits in a wall: anyone outside can put items in, and the contents come out only from the back, which belongs on the inside of your base.

It pays for itself in the late-night handover. Your mate logs on while you sleep, farms a run of sulfur ore and has no reason to know the code lock on your loot room. He feeds the box from the street, logs off, and the ore is waiting for you in the morning. Groups that let a new recruit help without trusting him with the base use it the same way.

Trades you settle by hand work too. Agree a price over the wall, the other player drops the payment in, you check it from inside and pass the goods back. For a shop that sells while you are offline, a vending machine is the better tool, since there the trade completes itself.

  1. Get a Level 1 workbench up; the box itself is only metal fragments.
  2. Place it in an outer wall with the back facing into your base.
  3. Step outside, drop in something cheap and check it arrives inside before you tell anyone about it.
