A standing light-up frame
Coming back from a monument at 2 a.m. with a full backpack, it helps to see your own gate from the road. A standing light-up frame does that job. It sits on its own feet instead of on a wall, so it can go out in the compound next to the entrance, where the glow shows from far away.
To glow it needs power, as far as players know, and outside that means running a cable from the base. A wind turbine on the roof or a large solar panel keeps it going without fuel runs, with a battery in between for the night.
The catch: if your team can spot the frame from the road, so can every roamer. Put a switch on the line and turn it off on nights you expect company. The frame itself is 150 wood with no bench, so trying it costs little.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
Recycling
At power grid stage 2 a green recycler works at 60% instead of 50%. Yields depend on the recycler.
