Overview

In-game description
Converts kinetic energy harvested from the wind into electricity. Amount generated will vary depending on wind speed. Higher altitudes will yield stronger winds.

Panels go dark at night, and the wind keeps blowing. So on a hill or a tall base the turbine keeps a battery topping up while the panels sleep. Its own text sets the rule: output follows wind speed, and higher ground gets stronger wind. A turbine down in a valley is a waste of 500 wood.

Pros

Cons

  • No fuel, works day and night
  • One turbine saves a lot of fuel runs over a long wipe
  • Researchable for 60 scrap

A common setup: you live in a three-floor base on a ridge. The turbine goes on the roof, the wire runs down to a battery in the core, and the battery feeds the turret and the lights. Pair it with a few panels and the generator rarely has to start.
