Characteristics
Overview
Military-grade crates designed for efficient storage and durability. A staple of any well-supplied outpost.
Same price, same set, same lack of a research path as the Krieg barrel. The only real choice between the two is shape: these crates lie along a wall, the barrel stands in a corner. The short name marks them as the horizontal piece.
Underneath the military stencils, the recipe matches the plain horizontal storage barrel fragment for fragment, so expect the same capacity. Against a large wood box you pay 25 frags and 50 wood more for the look, and the box can be researched while the crates cannot.
Watch out
Plain storage barrels say outright that they cannot be locked. Before you fill the crates by the airlock with explosives, try a code lock on them. If it will not go on, keep the crates deep in the core and the boom in a locked box.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
Recycling
At power grid stage 2 a green recycler works at 60% instead of 50%. Yields depend on the recycler.
