Characteristics
Overview
A stone fireplace to heat your home. Must be placed indoors and against a wall.
Build one when your base sits somewhere cold and you want the warmth inside, behind a locked door. It heats the room it stands in, and unlike a camp fire or a hobo barrel it has to go indoors with its back to a wall. Pick the spot before you place it, because a fireplace in the wrong room is a lot of stone to recycle.
A snow-biome base shows why it is worth it. Your teammate dies at night, respawns in his bag at home with nothing on, and the cold starts on him before he has crafted a single piece of clothing. With a fireplace lit in that room he gears up warm instead of freezing in his own base.
You burn wood in it like any fire. Many players cook in it too, but its own text only talks about heat, so try one piece of meat before you plan meals around it. The bill is 500 stones and 200 wood with no bench, and research costs 15 scrap if you find one to give up. Around Christmas it gets a second job: the event's stockings hang by a fire, and this is the fire most bases use for them.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
