Characteristics
Overview
A CCTV Camera system can be used for realtime surveillance and security around your base when powered and paired with the Computer Station.
Mostly you build turrets with it. An auto turret takes one camera, one targeting computer and a stack of high quality metal, and the turret itself is only a Level 2 craft. The camera itself cannot be crafted or researched at all, so every camera you own came out of a crate, a recycler or a trade.
That makes the find a small event. You are looting a monument with a teammate, a CCTV camera turns up next to some scrap, and it goes straight into the box at home, set aside for the turret over your loot room.
The same part sits inside the drone, the homing missile launcher, the industrial turret and the PTZ camera, so a group with power and plans for any of them always wants more. It works on its own as well: place it, power it, give it a name, then watch the feed from a computer station. One aimed at your front door shows who is waiting before you step out.
Recycling makes sense only when you have more than you can use. It returns high quality metal and tech trash, and tech trash is what C4 is made from.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
Recycling
At power grid stage 2 a green recycler works at 60% instead of 50%. Yields depend on the recycler.
