Characteristics
Overview
An interactive spinning wheel.
Settling arguments is the job. The game calls it an interactive spinning wheel: you put it up in your base, someone spins it, and it stops on a random segment. That is the whole mechanic. It crafts nothing, and the game pays nobody when it stops.
For a group, that is plenty. Who runs the next sulfur trip, who sleeps outside on raid night, which neighbour gets the first trade. On some servers players build a small casino around one and take scrap bets by hand.
Watch out
Nobody holds the stakes for you. If you spin for scrap with a neighbour, agree who keeps the pot before the wheel turns: the game cannot make the loser pay, and he can log off whenever he likes.
Despite the name, it has nothing to do with wool. It spins no yarn and is listed nowhere as a crafting station. It costs 150 metal fragments with no workbench, and a research table teaches it for only 15 scrap. A recycler gives back about half the frags, and you will find it among the other Items.
