Overview
Slower moving ammunition that deals fire damage. There's a small chance it will start a fire.
You load incendiary 5.56 when you care more about what happens after the hit than about the hit itself. Every round deals fire damage and has a small chance to set something alight, so a target that keeps standing in the flames keeps losing health.
The price is speed. These bullets fly slower than plain 5.56 rifle ammo, so you lead further and the drop kicks in sooner. With an assault rifle in a close fight inside a monument or around a wooden base that barely matters. Across an open field it does, and the guy running HV rounds will out-trade you.
So treat a mag of these as a niche loadout, not your default. Each round also costs sulfur on top of the regular cartridge, and on a fresh wipe that is sulfur you would rather turn into gunpowder for a raid. Most players fire whatever incendiary they pull from crates and almost never craft it on purpose.
