Overview
An arrow for a Hunting Bow and Crossbow.
Every wipe starts with these. No bench, a bit of wood and some stones, and you have ammo for the hunting bow you made ten minutes after spawning. They take care of deer, boar and the other naked running around with a bow.
The trick with a bow is drop and lead. Wooden arrows fly slowly, so aim above and ahead of anything moving, and pick your arrows back up after a hunt. Some will break, the rest are free ammo lying in the grass.
They also fit the crossbow, which hits harder per shot but reloads slowly. While you are still on wooden arrows, that makes it a good weapon for the first shot from an ambush.
Don't rush to replace them. Bone arrows actually hit for less, but their big arrowhead is easier to land and they come out of the animals you are already killing. High velocity arrows also trade damage for a flatter flight that makes longer shots possible.
