Characteristics
Overview
A large umbrella that will shield you from the sun.
Stick it over a beach chair and the summer corner of the base finally looks finished. That is most of what it does. Its game text talks about keeping the sun off you, yet nothing in the row points to a real effect on heat or health, so do not plan a desert base around it.
It needs no workbench. Twenty cloth and 75 metal fragments make one, and there is nothing to research: every player can craft it from the start. Early on those frags belong in tools and a door, so it waits until the base is done.
Picture a duo on a quiet monthly server with a base right on the sand. A parasol, the chair and a beach table by the front wall look great in a screenshot. Raiders will not slow down for any of them.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
