Characteristics
Overview
A reinforced siege weapon built for smashing through wooden and stone constructions with brute force. Must be repaired with high quality metal to keep functioning.
Bring it when your group has metal but no sulfur. Every classic raid tool, from a satchel charge to C4, is built from gunpowder or explosives. The ram is built from high quality metal, wood, sheet metal and a tarp, and its own text says it smashes wooden and stone constructions. Day two, a stone neighbour, an empty sulfur box: that is where it changes your plans.
The price is time and noise. A charge does its work the moment it goes off; a ram stands at the wall and keeps swinging, and everybody nearby hears it. That gives defenders a window to come out and fight, so put shooters next to whoever works the ram, and pick an hour when the owners are offline.
Watch out
Carry spare high quality metal to the raid. The game says the ram must be repaired with it to keep functioning, and a ram that gives up halfway through a wall leaves you standing at someone's base with nothing.
Its text names wood and stone, not metal, so do not count on it against a sheet metal or armoured wall; plan explosives for those. A siege tower rolled up beside it gives your shooters height while the ram works.

Direct hit, hard side, no duds. Satchel Charge is a dud 20% of the time. Beancan Grenade is a dud 15% of the time. A range runs from point blank to the far end of the bullet's falloff, fired from an Assault Rifle.
