Overview

In-game description
Some road signs made of metal.

Two signs on your chest and one around your waist: that is the armour most players wear for the first days of a wipe. The road sign jacket takes two, the road sign kilt one, and both stop far more than the hide and burlap you start in.

Early on they come only from loot. Barrels along the roads drop them, and so do the crates beside them, so a morning on the main road with a rock or a sword usually covers a full set. Crafting them needs a Level 3 workbench, 2 high quality metal and 20 scrap each, and by the time your group owns that bench most of you have moved on to metal plates.

So what about the spares? The salvaged cleaver, the gloves and the knight armour pieces want them too, and horse owners put four into a saddle or a set of horse armour. A sign in the recycler hands back about one HQM and a few scrap. Keep two or three in a box for the next set you lose in a fight, and feed only the rest to the recycler.
