Overview
A shoddy piece of body armor made from roadsigns.
Your Level 2 bench went up last night, a morning of barrels along the main road paid three road signs, and a duo with a semi-auto rifle has started roaming your side of the map. Two of those signs go into this jacket, and the next time someone sprays you on the road, you live through the first burst instead of dropping on it.
Pros
Cons
- 500 durability, more than a metal chest plate gets
- A Level 2 bench and 30 scrap to research
- No penalty to aim or speed, unlike the heavy plate jacket
- Less against bullets than the chest plate
- Two sewing kits every time, and crafting kits takes a Level 3 bench
- The kilt, the gloves and the cleaver want the same signs
It goes on over a shirt, so the burlap shirt you crafted on the beach stays underneath. When hunting finally keeps up with the fifty leather a chest plate asks for, most groups switch. On a short wipe plenty never do, and a fight in road signs against a team in plates is far from lost if you shoot first.
