Overview

In-game description
A well made set of knights plate that covers the hips and thighs. Made of scrap metal.

Under the steel sits a road sign kilt, and you wear the plates for exactly what the kilt does: armour over your trousers once your group has a Level 2 bench. In the game files the plates are a skin of the kilt, picked when you craft the kilt if you own the skin, and the rows match line for line. Ten leather, one road sign and two sewing kits, 150 durability, the same recycler output.

That makes loot decisions easy. You kill a roamer who carried both a kilt and these plates in his bag. Wear whichever you like, recycle the other, and you get back the same leather and the same chance at a sign. Keep burlap trousers underneath either way.

Watch out

150 durability goes fast in a real fight. Check the bar after every skirmish and keep a second pair in the box by the door, or you finish the next raid defence in bare trousers.

Heavy plate pants last far longer but slow every step. In the skirt plates you stay quick.
