Overview

In-game description
The Storage Monitor attaches to the Tool Cupboard and Large Storage Box to monitor the container contents. Output sends a pulse when the container is updated.

Mount it on your Tool Cupboard and you can see from your phone how much upkeep is left, if your group runs the Rust+ companion app. That is how most players use it: a weekend away no longer means guessing whether the wood will last.

The game's text says it attaches to the cupboard and to the large wood box, and that its output sends a pulse whenever the container changes. So it is also a tripwire on your loot. Wire that output into a smart alarm, and the moment someone opens your rocket box and takes something, you get the notice. Expect pings when your own team moves stuff too.

Tip

Players report it needs a trickle of power before it shows up in the app. Run a wire to it from the battery that already feeds your lights.

Three high quality metal and a piece of tech trash each, so one on the cupboard and one on the box you care most about is a fair start.
