Characteristics
Overview
A small, makeshift backpack
Pockets fill up fast on a road loop. You crack barrels for an hour, carry the cloth and stone you picked on the way, and by the third crate you are throwing out rope to make room for gears. The small backpack puts extra slots on your back, so the loop ends when you choose, not when the inventory does.
A Level 1 workbench and a blueprint every player has from the start are the easy part. The price is five sewing kits on top of the cloth, more than a road sign jacket and kilt need together. Early in a wipe that is a real choice between carrying more and getting shot less.
Pros
Cons
- Available from a Level 1 bench, long before anything at Level 3
- Every player can craft it from the start, no research needed
- A spare one in the recycler hands back a couple of kits
- Five sewing kits on day one
- Less room than the large backpack, which you can only find, never craft
- Shares the back slot with a parachute
And nothing inside is safe. Whoever kills you loots the bag along with everything in it, so drop the valuables at home before the next run.
