Overview

In-game description
A pair of pants, highly capable undergarment for your legs. Great all round protection from damage and the elements.

Legs get covered last. That is how people end up still in burlap on the second evening, with a bench already standing in the base. Pants close that gap: forty cloth and one sewing kit at a Level 1 workbench, and their own text promises great all-round protection against damage and the elements.

Say a road barrel gave you exactly one kit. Pants are a good home for it, because a pair does not get replaced later, it gets covered. Once someone in the group has a Level 2 bench, a road sign kilt goes on over them, and most geared players keep that combination until the wipe ends. Burlap trousers and hide pants are what you wore before. Shorts leave your knees out in the cold.

Thirty scrap at the research table makes the blueprint. Pay it early, since you will sew a fresh pair after nearly every death.

Watch out

Spare pants are a poor source of sewing kits. The recycler gives the kit back only some of the time, along with part of the cloth, so recycle them for the cloth and expect nothing more.
