Overview

In-game description
Trousers made out of burlap.

Your base went up in a forest valley full of hemp and empty of deer. Leather is a long walk away, cloth grows everywhere, so your legs get burlap. Twenty cloth, no bench, and the night cold bites a little less than on bare skin.

Pros

Cons

  • Made from hemp you pick anywhere, no hunting needed
  • No workbench, so a fresh spawn can make them right away
  • Stay on under a road sign kilt once armour arrives
  • Very little against arrows or a spear
  • Cost more cloth than hide pants cost leather, and the hide ones hold up better against animals

The deciding question is which material you have. A group that hunts every day runs hide; a solo who lives off hemp runs burlap. Neither one is armour.

If you settle in for the wipe, a planter with a couple of hemp seeds keeps the cloth coming, and a spare pair in the box by your sleeping bag means you never respawn bare-legged.
