Overview
A rugged jacket, will help keep you warm. High cold protection but incompatible with other chest attire.
Farming in the snow is the job for it. Its own text promises a lot of cold protection and admits the price straight away: while you wear it, nothing else goes on your chest. So the jacket comes off the moment you plan to fight.
Picture a solo with a base in the tundra. He walks out at dusk in the jacket with a pickaxe, hits sulfur until his inventory is full and gets home without shivering. A road sign jacket waits in the box by the door, and that is what he pulls on before a roam. Changing takes a few seconds. Getting shot in a cloth top takes less.
Pros
Cons
- A Level 1 workbench and 15 scrap to research, so it is there on day one
- Fifty cloth and two sewing kits, nothing rare
- Keeps the cold out on long night trips
- Blocks every piece of chest armour
- Far weaker than real armour once bullets fly
The snow jacket does the same job for a bit more cloth and one sewing kit less, and its own text calls it high visibility. If you would rather not glow in the middle of a white field, this is the quieter pick.
