Jacket

Two sewing kits for a coat that leaves no room for chest armour. The cloth is cheap; those kits could have been a road sign jacket.

About this craft

Put this recipe beside the road sign jacket before you queue it. Both eat two sewing kits, and before a Level 3 bench every kit is a road barrel or a lucky crate. The road sign jacket stops bullets. This one keeps you warm and, by its own text, shuts out every piece of chest armour while you wear it.

So it earns its kits in one case: a base in the snow, where you farm in it and fight in something else. When kits are short, the snow jacket does the same job for one. Both blueprints sit at a Level 1 workbench and cost little scrap, and you only need one of them.

Tip

A spare jacket is worth recycling for its kit. The ordinary recycler always hands back one of the two, with half the cloth, while a hoodie or pants return theirs only half the time.
