Night Vision Goggles

See in the dark without a beam that gives you away. Worth it for night raids and roams, as long as you accept a bare head and a battery to keep charged.

Overview

In-game description
Enables vision at nighttime by projecting and amplifying infrared light. The batteries can be recharged at a Lvl 2 workbench. Cannot be worn with a helmet.

Night fights belong to whoever can see. Picture a night raid on your neighbours: they run their corridors with a flashlight, every beam tells you exactly where a defender stands, and you move through the dark with no light at all. That is what these goggles buy.

Pros

Cons

  • You see in the dark without showing a light to anyone
  • 900 durability, almost three times a facemask
  • Ten HQM and two tech trash, no Level 3 bench needed
  • No helmet with them, and the metal facemask has to come off too
  • The battery runs down and wants a Level 2 workbench to recharge
  • Bright light in view, like a flare or a muzzle flash, can wash out the picture

So most players swap: goggles on at dusk for the roam or the raid, facemask back on at dawn. A short night farm does not need them. An apple pie gives better night vision for a while by its own text and leaves your head free.
