Overview
An arctic variant of the hazmat suit which trades radiation for cold protection.
Snow bases are where this suit earns its place. You farm sulfur up north at night or ride home across a frozen plateau, and the cold eats your health long before anybody shoots. The game calls it an arctic take on the hazmat that gives up radiation protection for warmth, and that one trade tells you when to wear it.
It is not a blueprint of its own but a skin of the hazmat suit: if you own it, you craft a hazmat at the same Level 2 workbench from the same recipe and choose this look, with no research of its own. So you pick by the trip, not the price. A hot monument calls for the hazmat, since this one lets more radiation through. An hour out in the snow calls for this one.
Tip
A cheaper start for life in the snow is a snow jacket and a cup of basic warming tea. Craft the suit once the jacket stops being enough on long night runs.
Like the hazmat, it covers you from head to toe and leaves no room for a chest plate or helmet. In a gunfight you are as soft as in any hazmat.
