Overview
A hazmat suit made from radiation resistant rubber.
Radiation is the wall between you and the best crates of an early wipe, and this suit is the usual key. Pull it on for a hot monument, loot the rooms your cloth kit could never reach, and take it off at home. It covers you head to toe, so boots, helmet and chest plate stay in the box.
The bill lands right when HQM is scarce: seven of it, two sewing kits and four tarps at a Level 2 workbench, plus 60 scrap for the blueprint. Tarp is what most groups run short of, since the planters want it too.
Pros
Cons
- Opens the hot rooms of radiation monuments to you
- One piece replaces a whole outfit, so swapping is quick
- A looted one becomes your blueprint for 60 scrap
- Soft in a gunfight, and nothing else fits on top of it
- Seven HQM that could have gone into a door or a gun
- Everyone on the road can see you just looted a monument
Picture a trio leaving a monument with full bags: the one in the hazmat is the one a roamer shoots first. Groups that run monuments every evening move to armour with a lead insert later. If you live in the snow, the Arctic Suit costs the same and trades radiation protection for warmth.
