Overview

In-game description
Lead insert that adds radiation protection for crafted clothes and armor.

Put it into the gear you loot monuments in. The game says it adds radiation protection to crafted clothes and armour, so the idea is to walk into a radiated room in your usual kit instead of swapping into a hazmat suit and leaving your armour at home for the trip.

Think of a duo heading to a monument on the first evening of a wipe. One wears a hazmat and looks like an easy kill on the road. The other keeps his armour with a lead insert and can still take a fight on the way out. How far the insert carries you depends on how hot the monument is, and that is the part no table on this page can tell you.

Tip

Take a Geiger counter on the first few runs. It shows how much radiation the next room holds, so you learn where the insert is enough and where it is not.

The price is four high quality metal at a Level 2 workbench, plus 60 scrap for the blueprint. Its text promises nothing against bullets. If other players kill you more often than radiation does, swap in a metal insert instead. You cannot craft that one, so keep any you find.
