Small Shark

Underwater, sharks are the reason people carry a speargun. This one is the friendly version: it bites a hook, comes up on the line and goes into your bag. The game still calls it a surprisingly aggressive deep sea predator, and the deep sea part decides where you fish.

Off a beach you mostly pull up small fry. To get past the shallows without building a big hull, a kayak is enough: no fuel, little noise. Picture you and a teammate paddling out at dusk, one watching the shore, the other casting a handmade fishing rod over the side until the line goes tight.

Only five fit in a slot, so clear some room before you go. Gutting one leaves a bigger pile of raw fish than a herring does, and like the catfish and the salmon it eats everything, so an odd extra item may drop as well.

Or bring one home whole. A shark you caught yourself looks good on a fish trophy, and a gutted one leaves nothing to mount.
