Characteristics
Overview
These yellow berry seeds can be planted in the ground and grown to collect additional food. Planting these seeds in a planter, and then watering them with large quantities of water yields significantly more berries and faster growth.
Time the planting so you are around to pick what grows. A planter keeps working while you are logged off, which is perfect for one night's sleep and a problem for a long weekend away. Ripe plants do not wait. Left unpicked, they move on to dying, and the berries go with them.
A common way to lose a bed: on Friday evening you fill a large planter box with fresh seeds, water it well and log off until Monday. When you come back, the plants that should have fed the tea table have wilted, and you start again.
Watch out
If a long break is coming, keep the seeds in a box instead. They wait there; plants in a planter do not.
Water changes the timing too. The seed's own text says a planter given large quantities of water grows significantly more berries and grows them faster, so a well-watered bed is ready sooner than you might expect. Check it more often, not less.
Once the first bed shows a strong plant, carry it on through clones. The yellow berries go to the Mixing Table, and into paintballs if your group plays.
